Little monster!

Stockton has now started pulling himself up to stand. It's great to see that he's growing and learning but he started doing it in his crib during naptimes now so he'll just stand up and cry! Today has been the worst by far. I watched him on the monitor and saw that he was standing and went and laid him back down and walked out. He stood again, so I laid him down again. Did this about 5 times and then turned on music for him when I left the room. He didn't like that and stood right back up. Then I took him out of the crib and rocked him, didn't work. Took him out of his room completely and let him crawl around and play for a bit and tried again- no such luck, he's still standing...and crying. I was out of ideas so I just let him scream.

Finally he went down to his knees and cried for a while, then to his bum. And then...this! I went in to take a picture of him and started laughing so hard that I thought I was going to wake him up! I had tears in my eyes. I don't even dare say how long he screamed from beginning to end...little stinker. I'm a fan of letting them cry it out but it's a little different when they're STANDING!

That just can't be comfortable!
You can see his leg and foot to the right in this one

He's always been such a good sleeper too. The annoying part is that I know he would've gone right to sleep if I gave him his binky but we don't use that to sleep so I didn't want to give it to him and get him attached to that durning naps. Plus, he's 10 1/2 months old so we need to get rid of it soon anyway!

This made me laugh Holly! He is such a determined little guy! I can't believe he is standing! I have decided that Addie is going to have to cry it out soon once we get settled because that little gal thinks she can only sleep in my bed! ahhh! I'm glad to know you believe in the crying it out thing because maybe now I can do it. :)
